Master Benjamin J Chernin

Master Ben has dedicated his life to teaching Taekwondo to students of various backgrounds and ages. Over the years, he has worked to cultivate his teaching style into one that is informative and resonates with students. He has trained in both Boxing and Jujitsu to expand his knowledge. And after receiving his Kukkiwon Master Certification, he continues to find news ways to implement modern techniques while maintaining the spirit of traditional Korean Taekwondo.

Master Ben began his Taekwondo journey at the age of 8 at Master Cho's Talium in Fairfield, New Jersey. He started his Instructor training at 13 and gained valuable experience as he worked his way up to a full-fledged Instructor by age 17. At 19, he began working as an Instructor for Grandmaster Kim at US Taekwondo Center, Mount Pocono, PA, where he obtained his 4th Dan Black Belt and with it, the rank of Master. He began teaching at US National Taekwondo, West Long Branch, NJ in 2024.

Master Jake has been with USNT since the age of 9. He has remained dedicated to teaching students the same way he was taught by Master Kim since the beginning of his Taekwondo journey. He has trained rigorously for tournaments and self-improvement throughout many aspects of his life. 

Having been born into a family of highly competitive athletes, Master Jake wasted no time in getting involved in the world of competitive sports. By the time he was 12, he had achieved the rank of 1st Degree Black Belt and went on to train to become an instructor under Master Kim. With more years of training, Master Jake would later receive the rank of 4th Degree Black Belt and with it, the title of Master.
